Bio
I read one woman's bio today regarding edits. She felt if she sent an edit, it was up to the memorial holder to verify the information. I disagree with this. I don't know you, so why should I take your word? If you send me an edit, it's up to you to send verifying information, if I ask you for it, not for me to search for it.
****************************
I don't necessarily transfer within F.A.G. guidelines, but what matters is how I'm asked. Please transfer is not asking, it's telling me.
**********************************
I realize some of the tombstone photos I take and add need cleaning, but I just can't get up and down that easily anymore. I figure if there was no photo before, that it's better than none. Maybe I'm wrong.
******************************
I thought the purpose of Find A Grave was not just to take, but also to add. I have a problem with people that add very few people, and yet manage so many more.
******************************
I ran across something this morning that I would like to pass on and hope it helps. I ran across a photo request made in 2012. A photo was added in 2020, but the fulfill part was apparently never done, so the recipient never knew. I went to her page to send her a message, but sadly she passed on last year, never knowing the request had been filled. The person who added the photo had been a member for many years. So please, if you fulfill a photo request please be sure to do the fulfill thing so people will know.
----------------------
When I take and add photos to this site, I put them in the cemetery I found them in. I do not search all of F.A.G.
-----------------------------------------------
If you would like a transfer, please use the edit button on the memorial. I don't always follow F.A.G. guidelines for transferring. I do have a problem with people that join F.A.G. one day and then start collecting relatives.
----------------------------------------------
I don't believe a military rank belongs in the prefix section unless they were KIA. The inscription, with rank, is added.
--------------------------------------------
I was trying to "unmanage" some of my memorials, but I see the same people are grabbing them up, so I won't do it anymore.
