A daughter of the late Roy and Roxie Rivercomb Caricofe, she was born on Aug. 14, 1938, in Dayton and attended Bridgewater High School. Mrs. Miller had been making her home in Prince William County for the past 39 years and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Manassas.
On Dec. 16, 1953, she married Ray L. Miller, who survives.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mammie. Besides her husband, she is survived by six children, Leonard Miller and Brenda Dunnam and husband, Kim, all of Woodbridge, Pam Jones and husband, Melvin, and Ray Allen Miller and wife, Anita, all of Manassas, Kevin Miller and wife, Donna, of Unionville, and Gary Wayne Miller of Dumfries; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Martz of Ottobine and Margaret McCauley of Lynwood; and two brothers, Marvin "Bud" Caricofe of Ottobine and Roy "Buster" Caricofe of Sangersville.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Roy Miller, two sisters, Janet Morral and Norma Caricofe, and a brother, Charlie Caricofe.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Zorbas officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 this (Tuesday) evening at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 7 p.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Manassas.
