OBITUARY - Daily News-Record, Harrisonburg (VA) - May 24, 2007
Margaret Virginia McCauley, 73, of Port Republic, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at her home. She was born in Dayton on Feb. 24, 1934, and was a daughter of the late Roy F. and Roxie Marie (Revercomb) Caricofe.

Mrs. McCauley was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. She loved spending time with friends and family at Lake Anna and spoiling her great- grandchildren.

On Jan. 8, 1954, she was united in marriage to Charles A. McCauley, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Susan Ann Smith of Elkton, Roxetta A. Mowbray and husband, James, of Port Republic; two sons, Larry W. McCauley and wife, Donna, of Harrisonburg, and Jeffery L. McCauley and fiancee, Carmen Taylor, of Port Republic; a sister, Jean Martz of Dayton; and a brother, Roy F. Caricofe Jr. of Bridgewater. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Marvin Caricofe, and three sisters, Norma Caricofe, Ella Miller and Janet Morral.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Grottoes with Pastor James Kite officiating. Burial will follow at the Clover Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Grottoes. Memorial contributions may be given to Grottoes Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1187, Grottoes, VA 24441, or RMH Hospice, 235 Cantrell Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
