Naomi Priscilla Wallace was the ninth of sixteen children born to Sydney Edward Wallace of Tennessee and Amelia Broughton Mississippi. Through born in Plumerville, her family moved to Oklahoma while she was very young and she grew up and attended school in Tullahassee, Oklahoma.
Years later, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a Presser in a laundry. Her four children - Elaine, Jimmieruth, Milton, andRudolph were born there.
Naomi died at 7:06 AM, January 19, 1968, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 56. She was buried at Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois on Janury 25, 1968.
