I am one of countless people who adored Babe. In a room filled with people, Great Aunt Babe always made me feel like I was the Special One. I can vouch that she also made my children feel that way, my brother, his daughter, and, of course, my mother. Babe was such a vital part of my mother's life -- that alone puts Babe into the Halo Zone -- but Babe reached that status for me with her amazing love. My grandmother, AnnaLee, was a wonderful grandmother and I could count on her for anything and everything. AnnaLee always knew the answer – right or wrong, she was always right, but Babe's warmth would fill me with love the instant I'd see her. Ever gracious, ever kind, and ever laughing at even the lamest of my jokes, Babe's presence made any moment more loving and joyful. I know of no greater gift than that.
