Darlington Republican Jan 22, 1886
Died at her residence in this city, January 18, 1886, Mrs. Louisa Roberts, aged 63 years 7 months and 23 days. Deceased was born in East Kent, England on May 31, 1822. She early in life united with the Presbyterian church and was a faithful and consistent Christian at the time of her death. For the past 15 years she has been quite ill at times, and her friends could only look forward with her in calm resignation to the time when the inevitable hour would come. She leaves an aged husband and nine surviving children to mourn her death. Her funeral was held at
the M.E. Church in this city Thursday, and was largely attended. A good neighbor, a loving wife, a kind mother, a useful member of society and a true Christian and she will indeed be missed.
