RED OAK - Services for Ernest A. Waage, 55, Red Oak building contractor serving his first term as first ward city councilman, were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church here. He died Friday afternoon at Murphy Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Asa C. Ropp officiated at the services and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery here.
He was married to Dorothy Copeland, who survives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the 100F and the Chamber of Commerce.
Besides his widow, surviving are his mother, Villisca, daughter, Mrs. Colleen Little, Torrance, California; son, Stephen, at home; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Mullen, Griswold; Mrs. Cleo Calkins, O'Neill, Nebraska, and Mrs. Verda Narigon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and five brothers, Harry of Nodaway, Russell of Corning, Arthur of Stanton, Fay of Omaha, and Ralph or Fremont, Nebraska.
