Mabel Josephine Wage, daughter of Samuel Helgesen Wage and Mary Emma Rupp, was born October 16, 1898 in Grant, Iowa and died at the Atlantic Hospital June 13th , 1934 at the age of 35 years, 8 months, 3 days.
She was married on January 11th, 1914 to Arthur LeRoy Govig. She leaves to mourn at her departure her husband and six children, Darleen, Chester, Glen, Louis, Robert, and Lewis, all at home, and her father and mother of Grant and three sisters and six brothers, Harry Wage of Villisca, and Mrs. Herschel Mullen of Red Oak, Earnest of Carbon and Mrs. George Calkins of Darsey, Nebraska, and Arthur, Russell, Ralph, Fay, and Verda, all at home.
Mrs. Govig will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother and never tired of doing the best for the interest of her family. She was an active member of the Ladies’ Aid of the Strand Congregation. She has now passed on to meet her Savior
