`Miss Pearl Janet Murdock, daughter of Colonel Murdock, eloped and was married without previous notice yesterday to William Paul Eaton at the office of Probate Judge J. N. Haymaker. Mr. Eaton is a nephew of B. L. Eaton, owner of the Carey hotel. Wichita Beacon, December 13, 1900, page 5.

A divorce has been granted in Kansas City to Mrs. Paul Eaton, formerly Miss Pearl Murdock. Mr. and Mrs. Eaton were Wichita residents until two years ago. For several years he owned and managed two cigar stores in Wichita. He is now with Niles and Moser Cigar Company, of Kansas City. Mrs. Eaton was given the custody of the two children. Pearl Jane Murdock died at her home yesterday in Los Angeles. She is the sister of Victor and Marcellus Murdock and part owner of the Eagle. Wichita Eagle, March 30, 1945.

Pearl Jane Murdock, daughter of the late M. M. Murdock and Mrs. Victoria Murdock, died early Thursday at her home in Los Angeles, California after a week's illness. Death was due to cerebral thrombosis. She was born April 26, 1879, in Wichita. She married Paul Eaton of Wichita in 1901 and they resided here until 1916 when they moved to Kansas City, where he died in 1918. Besides her brothers, Victor and Marcellus of Wichita, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Brown, Los Angeles. Wichita Beacon, March 30, 1945, page 10.

Funeral services for Pearle Jane Murdock, sister of Victor and Marcellus Murdock and one of the owners of the Eagle, will be held at the Gill Mortuary at 2 p.m. Saturday. She died at her home in Los Angeles last Thursday. Burial in Old Mission Mausoleum. Wichita Eagle, April 5, 1945.

Only four of the Murdocks' eight children lived to adulthood: Kate (Mrs. Bion Hull) who died in 1893; Pearl Jane (Mrs. Paul Eaton) who died in 1945; Victor, who died in 1946; and Marcellus, who died in 1970.
