Memorial Set Up For Victoria Neff

A memorial in honor of Mrs. Victoria Neff, granddaughter of the founder of The Wichita Eagle, Col. Marshall M. Murdock, is being established for the St. Francis School for Boys, Salina, Kan.

Mrs. Neff, of 256 N. Belmont, served on the board of the newspaper corporation until her recent retirement.

Mrs. Neff was born June 10, 1903, the daughter of William Paul Eaton and Pearl Jane Murdock Eaton. She attended schools in Wichita and Kansas City, Mo., and the University of Southern California at Los Angeles.

She married Harry B. Brown in 1923. The couple resided in Long Beach and Los Angeles, Calif., and in Honolulu.

Mrs. Neff served as commanding officer in the Women's Ambulance and Defense Corps, for two years. She married Morris N. Neff Sr. in 1947.

Survivors include Mr. Neff; a son, Britt Brown, and a stepson, Morris N. Neff Jr., both of Wichita; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bob Allen, Arkansas City; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Neff died Saturday at her home after a long illness.
