Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hayden Funeral home in Olin for Mrs. Louise Petersen who died Friday following a brief illness at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Miles at Phoenix, Ariz.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Roger Hoppenworth. Burial was made in the Olin cemetery.
Louise Ahrendsen was born on May 16, 1878 at Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenz Ahrendsen. She was married to Lorenz Petersen Dec. 7, 1908 at Onslow.
Survivors include four children, Mrs. Marvin (Christine) Fisher, Olin; John L. Petersen, Cedar Rapids; Louie M Petersen, Garden Grove, Calif; and Mrs. Frederick (Mary) Miles of Phoenix.
Note: After taking a picture of the gravestone, it shows Louisa's year of birth as 1879. I went back and checked the Obit and the year 1878 is not a typo. I've updated the memorial to show the year on her gravestone
