Mrs. Lorenz Ahrensen died a week ago, and has been laid to rest in the cemetery on the hill. She was born in Germany, January 2nd 1834, and in 1856 was married to Mr. Ahrensen. In 1886, she came to Jones county where she has made her home most of the time since. She is survived by her husband and seven children. Rev. Paul Clemens of the German Lutheran church conducted the funeral service.
NOTE: The first child born - Anna Helen Ahrendsen married Thomas Frederich Conrad and they remained in Germany. She was born 14 May 1858 in Bredstedt and died 28 Mar 1931 in Bredstedt . She was 72 years old. So not listed with children below.
