Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Irwin Lane officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday, and at the church after noon Thursday.
A native Ross Countian, she was born on Dec. 4, 1907 to Millard and Cushion Thacker McCartney.
On Dec. 14, 1929 she was married to Ernest W. Cox Sr. who died on April 4, 1954.
Surviving are two daughter, Mrs. Herman (Ada) Speakman and Mrs. Donald (Sondra) Smith; seven sons, Ernest Jr., Granville, Jerry, Lawrence, Roger, Jack, and Steven; 29 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Longacre, Mrs. Walter (Pauline) Winks, Mrs. Ira (Lucille) Graham, Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Lohr, and Mrs. Amos (Bertha) Sweet; and two brothers, Charles and Lawrence McCartney.
She was predeceased by four grandchildren; a brother; a sister; a son; and a daughter.
