Ada Catherine Speakman, 80, of Circleville, passed from this life on Friday evening, May 4, 2012, in Logan Elm Health Care Center following an extended illness.
She was born October 6, 1931 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Ernest and Gladys (McCartney) Cox. On Oct. 13, 1954 she married Herman Speakman, who survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Carla Case and Beth (Tracy) Barnes; her sons, Jeff (Becky) Speakman and Todd (Natalie) Speakman; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandon, Kevin, Amanda, Aimee, Christopher, Kaitlyn, and Courtney; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Sondra Smith; and brothers, Mike (Shirley) Cox, Jack Cox, Jerry (Marsha) Cox, and Steven Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Mark Speakman; son-in-law, Jack Case; grandchildren, Shawn and Brent; sister, Carlene Arledge; and brothers, Ernest Jr., Lawrence, Robert, and Roger Cox.
Mrs. Speakman was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home, with Pastor Jon Osmundson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery, Circleville.
