Miss Margaret Schmitt, 82, a long time resident of Beaver Dam, passed away at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged, Watertown, on Wednesday, July 12, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 9:30 a.m. at the Murray Funeral Home, and 10:00 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Raymond Miller will officiate and interment will be in the parish cemetery.

The late Miss Schmitt was born on June 1, 1879, at Theresa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmitt. She resided in Beaver Dam most of her lifetime.

Surviving are one sister, Sister M. Ercola, S.S.N.D., St. Louis, Mo., and many nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were her parents, four brothers and seven sisters.

Miss Schmitt was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Third Order of St. Francis, and the Happy Death Society.

Friends may call at the Murray Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and until the hour of services on Friday. A parish, Third Order of St. Francis and Happy Death Society vigil will be held on Thursday evening at eight o'clock.
