A son of Albert and Selma (Erickson) Reene, he was born at Stockwell, April 22, 1883, and spent his entire life in this vicinity. On June 4, 1909, he was united in marriage to Anna Swanson. He was a member of Stockwell M. E. church. Besides his widow he leaves a daughter, Ruth Leone and two sons, Charles William and Robert Swanson Reene, all at home, also his mother, Mrs. Selma Reene of Clarks Hill; three brothers, Walter of Clarks Hill, Fred, of Indianapolis, and Albert of Lafayette and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Burton, of Lafayette route 7 and Mrs. Amanda Christopher, of Lafayette route 5.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Stockwell M. E. church, with the Rev. C. V. Roush officiating. Interment in Yorktown cemetery.
