A resident of Indianapolis for 42 years, he was employed in the Indianapolis American Legion office. He was a graduate of Stockwell high school and served overseas in World War I. He was a member of the American Legion post at Indianapolis. He married Eula Clay of Indianapolis in 1924.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Siebert of Cincinnati and Miss Barbara Reene of Indianapolis; two brothers, Walter Reene of Monterey Park, Calif, and Albert Reene of Lafayette; and two sisters, Mrs. Esther Burton of R. 11, and Mrs. Amanda Christopher of West Lafayette.
