Utha Cameron
Utha B. Cameron, 96, of the Fort Madison Health Center, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, at the health center.
Born Jan. 11, 1901, at Wayne City, Ill., she was the daughter of Barn and Minnie Twadell Withrow. She married William W. Cameron on Nov. 18, 1919, in Wayne City, Ill. He died Oct. 1, 1956. She later married Henry Watznauer Aug. 1, 1969, in Fort Madison. They divorced.
She had been an office worker at Troy Laundry in Fort Madison for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was an avid bowler, pool player and baker.
Survivors include one son, Hugh D. Cameron (1923-2006) of St. Augustine, Fla.; two daughters, . . . ; 14 granchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; two infant sons; one grandson; one great-grandson; four brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will begin after noon at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, where the rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Cameron will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Geral Hoenig officiating. Burial will be in Montrose Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Montrose.
