The most important record causing confusion in family trees is "The Ancestors of Withrow Families of Wayne County, Illinois and Descendants", compiled by Verla Withrow Morris in 1984. Most Withrow descendants rely on that publication. Sadly it does contain some errors and the record for Emalie on pg. 70 is one of them. It states that Emily "Emma" Withrow m. Everett "Ericson", accurately giving her date of birth but misspelling the all important last name as Ericson and her date of death as December of 1971. Even her mother's obituary misspelled her married name as "Ellickson".
