Ferdinand Beise, who passed into the great beyond on December 31, 1908, following an operation, was 69 years, 5 months and 4 days of age. He was born at Girlitz, Pommern, Germany, July 27, 1839, and was was married to his surviving wife, Miss Fredericka Borchardt in 1863.
The deceased with his family settled in Minnetrista in the year 1869. Thirteen children born to them of whom seven have died. Mr. Beise was a prominent member of the German Baptist Church of St. Bonifacius, holding the office of church clerk and treasurer for a period of 26 years. He was a good man and none knew him but to love and honor him.
He is survived by his loving wife, three sons and three daughters, namely: Edwin E. Beise and Ferdinand Beise of this place, Wilhelm Beise of Hopkins, Mrs. Emma (Leonard) Schmidt, Mrs. Anna (Fred) Rose of Delano, and Mrs. Friedrieke (George) Weschler of Browntown. May he rest in peace.
