Mrs. Emma Lauman, 84, a former resident of Hopkins, died Thursday following a lengthy illness at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George (Irene) Segner of St. Bonifacius.
Mrs. Lauman lived in Hopkins for 24 years and her last residence was at First Street South.
Her husband, Henry, died February 15, 1955.
She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Mound where services were conducted Saturday afternoon. The Reverend Priebe officiated. Interment was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Walter (Esther) Burandt of Mound, Mrs. George (Irene) Segner and Mrs. Ruth Bruhn of Hopkins, Mrs. Albert (Margaret) Terwedo of New Prague, Lucille Lauman of Mound and Mrs. Gerhard (Elizabeth) Graupman of Bloomington; three sons, Clarence Schmidt of Hopkins, Harry Schmidt of Crystal Bay and Gilbert Lauman of Mound; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Rose of Buffalo and a brother, Ed Beise of Mound.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Lauman, 84, were held Saturday, February 18, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Mound, with the Reverend Weldon Priebe officiating. Yetzer's Funeral Home, Waconia, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Crystal.
Mrs. Lauman who was born July 17, 1876 in Minnetrista Township. She passed away February 16, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Segner, St. Bonifacius.
She had been in good health until the last few years, and was confined to her bed for only seven weeks before her death, She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Walter (Esther) Burandt, Island Park; Mrs. George (Irene) Segner, St. Bonifacius; Mrs. Ruth Bruhn, Hopkins; Mrs. Albert (Margaret) Terwedo, New Prague; Mrs. Gerhard (Elizabeth) Graupman, Minneapolis; Mrs. Lyman (Lucille) Baldwin, Spring Park; three sons, Clarence Schmidt, Hopkins; Harry Schmidt, Crystal Bay and Gilbert Lauman, St. Paul; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Rose, Buffalo and a brother, Ed Beise, Mound.
Pallbearers were Bernard Winkler, Gordon Burandt, Charles Bruhn, Carl Moen, Earl Schmidt and Clarence Schmidt, Jr.
