She lives in 1900 with her family in Chico Springs, 22 miles east of Maxwell, Colfax County in the northeast of New Mexico, in a former, very tiny Dutch settlement, but with a Christian Reformed church and a sanatorium for lepers (leprozen). Chico had in 1890 112 inhabitants, probably all Dutch and from the northeast province Groningen, where the Ungersmas also came from. About 1903 they moved to southwest Montana, Gallatin County, Manhattan, not far away from the also very tiny Dutch settlements Amsterdam and Holland. In 1920 she still resided with her parents in Gallatin County.
In November 1982 she died at the of 85 years and unmarried in Bozeman, the seat of Gallatin County.
