Sophia Ahlrichs, 79, Dies at Her home, Lived Here 42 Years.

Mrs. Sophia A. Ahlrichs, 79, died Tuesday, Aug 25, at her home at 515 Seventh St. SW after a months illness.

Sophia Bohlken was born Mar. 6, 1874 in Preston township, Plymouth county. Her marriage to Edward Ahlrichs took place there Aug. 28. 1896. She later lived in Minnesota and moved to LeMars in 1911.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. Anna Delaney, of LeMars, Mrs. A.C. (Ida) Grau of Hialeah, Fla., Alfred of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wilbur of LeMars.

Also surviving are 18 grand children, 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Gabel of LeMars and Mrs. I. A. (Lydia) Salberg of Long Beach, Calif., and two brothers, Albert Bohlken of Lisbon N. D., and George Bohlken of Hendricks, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a daughter, six brothers and three sisters.

The body was taken to Mauer's funeral home and burial will be in the city cemetery. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist church, Rev. H. V. Bartz officiating.
