Mrs. Annie Gabel dead at age 84; Rites Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Margaret Gabel, 84, of 435 North Lynn Drive, LeMars, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural LeMars.

Burial will be in the church cemetery near LeMars under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Rev. Charles Kruse and Rev. James Ramson will officiate.

Mrs. Gabel died at her home in LeMars Wednesday after several months of failing health.

She resided with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Williams.

Annie Bohlken was born Dec. 3, 1880, in Preston township, Plymouth county. She lived there until 1947 when she moved to LeMars after the death of her husband.

She was the daughter of the late Margaret Willms Bohlken and Siefke Bohlken. She was married to Merton Gabel in 1907 near LeMars.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Charles (Verna) Williams, LeMars; three grandchildren, LaVoy Williams, Whittier, Calif. Mrs. Robert (Glenna) Doering, LeMars, and Jerry Williams of Whittier, Calif; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Bohlken of Lisbon, N.D., and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Salberg, Long Beach, Calif.

She was a member of Plymouth Presbyterian church and ladies aid.
