Earl W. Osgerby Expires at Home
Salesman for Household Paper Products Firm

Earl William Osgerby, 52, of 216 Ingleside Terrace, salesman for the Household Paper Products Company, died Sunday morning [May 12, 1940] after a brief illness. He had resided in Kalamazoo for the last 12 years coming here from Jackson where he had lived for seven years.

Mr. Osgerby was born Aug. 5, 1887 in Marlette. In 1911 the University of Michigan granted him a master's degree in research chemistry. For four years he served the National Carbon Company in Clarksburg, West Virginia, but ill health caused him to return to Michigan where he was employed in Jackson and Kalamazoo.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Carrie Osgerby, secretary of First Presbyterian Church, a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Strong, Providence, Rhode Island, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Osgerby, and a brother, Torrey, of Vassar; and two sisters, Lela E. Osgerby, Bellevue, and Esther Osgerby, Ann Arbor.
