Funeral service for Mrs Ola Graham was conducted Wednesday afternoon, July 28, 1943 at the Verden Methodist Church with Rev. E.L. Spann, pastor, conducting the services, assisted by Rev. White, pastor of the Dutton Methodist Church. The songs, "Have Thine Own Way Lord", "It is Well With My Soul" and "Where We'll Never Grow Old" were rendered by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. R.M. Caldwell, Mrs. J.N. Kern, Mr. Floyd Ransbarger and Mr. Floyd Adkisson, and piano accompaniment by Mrs. F.G. Ransbarger. Pallbearers were F.G. Osborne, J.N. Kern, F.G. Jasperson, C.W. Hamill, Ralph Hess and B.F. Loveless.

She was the daughter of F. E. and Theresa Branard Allen, born May 30,1873, in Wisconsin and passed away July 27, 1943 in Chickasha Hospital at the age of 70 years after an illness of four days due to a paralytic stroke. She was married to John F. Graham, August 6, 1891 at El Reno and moved to Verden when the country was first opened.


To this union were born eight children, two daughters having preceded her in death, Mary and Bettie. Her husband passed away June 14, 1935. Mrs. Graham was a member of the Dutton Methodist Church. Surviving members of the family include three daughters; Mrs. Allie Maupin, Stratford, OK, Mrs. Susie Talkington and Mrs. Fern "Jimmy" DeKinder of Verden, three sons; Cecil Graham of Minco, Frank Graham of Nyssa, OR and George Graham of Tuttle, sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Haley of Oklahoma City, OK and Mrs. Ethel Selber of Palo Alto, CA. Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mrs. Allie Maupin, Stratford, Mrs. and Mrs Tom Haley, Oklahoma City, Mrs. and Mrs. Cecil Graham, Minco, and Mrs. and Mrs George Graham, Tuttle. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The Verden News July 30, 1943
