ROBERT JOHN ABRAHAMS, 83, of Lake Charles, left this Earth to meet his Lord at 5:12 a.m. July 11, 2007, in a Richardson, Texas, hospital.
Psalm 116:15 says “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Even as he walked through the shadow of death due to liver cancer,
he taught us that death is not a tragedy – it is a triumph! He was greatly loved by his wife, his children and grandchildren, his beloved little great-granddaughter,
family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Bob was a native and longtime resident of the Lake Charles area and moved to Frisco, Texas, in May 2007. He retired as an accountant at Cities Service
Refinery after many years of service. He served in the Army’s 42nd Rainbow Division in World War II. His sister, Edith Hoffpauir, brother Jim Abrahams, and a brother-in-law, Bill Palmer, preceded him in death.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. The Rev. Bryan Easley will officiate. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Gospel of Asia, 1800 Golden Trail Court, Carrollton, TX 75010, or the charity of one’s choice.
