The Houston Post, October 4, 1914:

News has been received in Houston of the death on October 1 of Mrs. Nora Briscoe who was well known in this city. Funeral services were held at the home of Dr. J.C. Johnson, and interment took place at the family burying ground near the old home.

Mrs. Briscoe is survived by five children, Mason Briscoe of Fort Bend County, Mary and Nora Briscoe, two single daughters, Mrs. Frank Williford Jr. of Houston, and Mrs. Adolphus Briscoe of Uvalde, Texas.
