Lawrence E Strieker, 74, of 408 Scenic Drive, died at 1?38 p.m. Wednesday (February 23, 2000) in Blessing Hospital.

Born April 10, 1925, in Quincy. Mr Strieker was a son of Bernard C and Sarah Denton Strieker. He married Rosie Cullers on Dec 11, 1951, in Quincy. She survives.

Mr Strieker had worked for Black and White Lime-Stone and then for Litteral Manufacturing until his retirement. He was a member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors include a son, Larry L Wade and his wife, Delores, of Columbus, two daughters, Evelyn Aucutt and her husband, Gary of Quincy, and Bessie Miller and her husband, Mark of Golden; eight grandchildren, Larry Lee Wade Jr. of Quincy, Clifford Wade of Columbus, John Wade of Quincy, Raymond Trace, Chester Trace and Matthew Trace, all of Jacksonville, martha Helms of Golden and Misty Aucutt of Quincy; two great-grandchildren, Derrick Wade and Nathaniel Wade, both of Quincy; two brothers, Robert Strieker and Bernard Strieker, both of Quincy; and three sisters, Alice Treaster of Quincy, Marie Lowary of San Diego and Delores Anderson of Bowling Green, Mo.

Mr Striker was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.

Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home by Timothy Best. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
