Rosie L. Strieker, 84, formerly of 208 W. Liberty in Columbus (Ill.), died Monday (Nov. 22, 2010) in Murray, Ky.

She was born April 13, 1926, in Edina, Mo., a daughter of Marion and Martha Dabney Culler. On Dec. 11, 1951, she married Lawrence E. Strieker in Quincy, and they were married for 48 years. He died Feb. 23, 2000.

Mrs. Strieker was a member of the Salvation Army for many years.

Survivors include two children, Bessie Miller of Quincy and Larry L. Wade and his wife, Delores, of Columbus; six grandchildren, Larry L. Wade Jr. of Plymouth, Clifford Wade and his wife, Rhonda, of Ewing, Mo., John Wade of Columbus, and Chester, Raymond and Matt Trace of Jacksonville; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by eight sisters and three brothers.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday memorial services will be held in Greenmount Cemetery with Salvation Major Alan Wurtz officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

MEMORIALS: Salvation Army.
