Strieker - Dendon. Barney Strieker and Miss Sarah Dendon, a well known young Melrose couple, were married yesterday morning at 6:30 i'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic church by the pastor, Rev Anthony Zurbonsen. Henry Strieker, the groom's brother, and Miss Mayme Strieker, the Groom's sister, were the attendants. After the church ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs Turner Denton, about a mile south of Quincy on the Eighth street road. The young couple have gone to housekeeping in a cozily furnished home south of town. mr Strieker is a son of Mr and Mrs Clement Strieker, well known farmers who live on Cherry Lane, between Twelfth and Twenty-fourth streets."

Mrs Sarah M Strieker, 77, of 1239 Hampshire died Tuesday (Sept 24, 1974) at 9 am in St Mary Hospital, a few hours after being admitted.

Mrs Strieker was born June 9, 1887, in Palmyra, Mo., a daughter of Turner and Christina E Meyer Denton.

She was a member of St Boniface Catholic Church. She married Bernard J Strieker Nov 3 1914, in St Mary Catholice Church. He died in 1908.

Surviving are six sons, five daughters, three brothers, three sisters, 40 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, John and Paul Striker, and a brother, Joseph Denton, preceded her in death.

Arrangements are being handled by Duker Funeral Home.
