TURNER A. 'JACK' DENTON
Turner A. "Jack" Denton, 81, of the Illionis Veterans Homne, formerly of 204 Maple, died at 12:03 am Monday (Sept. 15, 2003) in the home.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1922, in Quincy, a son of TUrner Charles and Christina Myers Denton.

He married Velma Berniece Spratt on March 21, 1946. She survives.

Mr Denton worked for numerous years in the construction business. He then later retired from Gardner Denver in 1984. He was Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.He also was an avid hunter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, (I do not include names of living persons per F.A.G. guidelines. four great-grandchildren; and numberous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Turner Charles; and all of his brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 8:30 am Friday in All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veterans Home. Burial will be in SunSet Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm. Thursday in All Faiths Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home Activities Fund.

The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
