Peter J. Barna, 65, of Ashley, and formerly of Plains Township, died Monday morning in Wikes-Barre General Hospital. Born in the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Baron Barna, he was employed by Muskin Inc. and was last employed by Roth American, Wilkes-Barre, as a press operator. Mr. Barna was a Navy vran of World War II. He was a ember of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, John, and Andrew, and a sister, Mary Struckus. He and his wife, the former Marcella Toole, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in May. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Peter Jr., Columbus, Ga.; daughters, Mrs. Mark (Patricia) Spagnuolo and Mrs. Gerald (Theresa) Saxon, Larksville; two grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Frank, Hudson; Joseph, Philadelphia; Raymond, Plains; sisters, Mrs. Anna Wiss, Hobbie; Elizabeth Barna, Harveys Lake. v, F'uneral will be held Wednesday f 10:30 from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
