Francis (Frank) Barna, of Crow Street, Plains Township, died Tuesday at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Baron Barna. He attended Wilkes-Barre schools, and graduated in 1945 from the J.M. Coughlin High School.

He was self-employed as the owner-operator of the Barna Plumbing and Heating Co., prior to retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Hudson, Plains Township.

Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Kulikowski; sons, Richard, Wheaton, Md.; Frank Jr., Missouri; Allan, San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Jean Marie Nardone, New Castle, Del.; Mrs. Christie Long, Dupont; five grandchildren; brothers, Paul, Hudson; Joseph, Bensalem; Raymond, Plains Township; sisters, Mrs. Anna Wiss, Hobbie; Elizabeth, Harveys Lake.

A Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Hudson, with the Rev. Victor C. Zawadzki, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mary A. Harostock Funeral Home, 480 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

Christian Wake Services will be 7 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Victor C. Zawadzki officiating.
