Mr. Barna was born in Austria and came to this country as a young boy.
He was a member of Saint-Mary-of the Assumption Byzantine Rite Catholic Church and the United Mine Workers of America.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Baron; children. Miichael, Wilkes-Barre: Paul, Hudson. Plains Township; Peter, Frank and Joseph, Plains Town-ship; Raymond, Glastonbury, Conn.; Mrs. Joseph Struckus, Wilkes - Barre Township; Mrs. Walter Wiss, Plains .Township; Elizabeth, at home; one brother and one sister" In Europe; 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held this morning at 8:30 from the funeral home, 480 North Main Street, with a Requiem Mass at 9 in St. Mary's Church. Interment will be In St. Mary's Cemetery. Dallas.
