James H. Linebrink, 86, Defiance, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Mercy Hospital of Defiance. He was born March 5, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, the son of William C. and Sarah A. (Durham) Linebrink. On May 22, 1948, he married Esther C. Bidlack, who survives. He was a set-up man at Zeller Corporation, for 45 years, retiring in 1986, and also worked for 25 years at Nostalgic Images. He was a member of Evansport United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a VFW Post 3360 life member.

Surviving are his wife, Esther C. (Bidlack) Linebrink, Defiance; four daughters, Sandra (Dean) Woodward of Evansport, Ohio, Brenda Wagner of Defiance, Angie (Marvin) Fockler of Defiance and Carol (Randy) Thorp, Defiance; a brother, Clarence (Edna) Linebrink, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Westrick, Nina Fockler, Julie (Josh) Houck, Melissa Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Benjamin Wagner and Brad Wagner; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, George, Donald and Paul Linebrink; and a sister, Evelyn Workman. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011, at Evansport United Methodist Church, with Rev. Becky Ploughe officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance County, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
