Paul W. Linebrink, 86, of Defiance, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Defiance, on November 10, 1922, he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Durham) Linebrink. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church and a life long resident of Defiance. He worked as a die maker at SK Wayne for 25 years retiring in 1985.

An Army veteran of WW II, he served with the 353rd Infantry Regiment, 89th Division in the European Theater as a heavy machine gunner. Paul married Berniece (Hunt) Linebrink on Oct. 16, 1948, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Amy Dapsauski of Frederick, MD. and Michelle (Tom) McNutt of Fayette, Ohio.

Brothers: James Linebrink of Defiance and Clarence Linebrink of Las Cruces, N.M. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Frankowski, his parents, brothers George and Don Linebrink and a sister Evelyn Workman.

Service at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 301 Carter Rd., Defiance, at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, with Rev. Brian Stark officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-8 P.M. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home and Wednesday 9-10 A.M. at Christ Our Savior Church. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens mausoleum where VFW Post 3360 will conduct military rites.
