JACKSONVILLE (Spl.) - Mrs. Mary Alice Aynesworth, 87, died in a local hospital about 10:20 a.m. Thursday following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be hled at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Newberry Funeral Home in Childress with the name of the officiant unknown at this time. Burial will be in the Childress Cemetery under direction of the Holmes Brothers Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

A native of Childress, Mrs. Aynesworth had been living in Jacksonville about six years with her son, James L. Aynesworth. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Childress.

Other survivors, include two sons, Jack H. Aynesworth of Houston, and Brig Gen. H.D. Anyesworth [sic], station at Shaw AFB, S.C.; one daughter, Mrs. Susan Board of Amarillo; two brothers, Noble Timmons and Walker Timmons, both of Elbert; one sister, Mrs. Belle Rogers of Graham; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Tactical Air Reconnaissance Center Commander Brig. Gen. Horace Aynesworth has returned to Shaw after a hurried emergency trip tohis home because of the death of his mother, Mrs. Mary Alice Aynesworth, whose funeral was held in Childress, Tex., March 23.

Survived by three sons - James Aynesworth, Jack H Aynesworth, Brig. Gen. H.D. Aynesworth; one daughter - Mrs. Susan Board; two brothers - Noble Timmons and Walter Timmons; three sisters - Mrs. Hester Johnson, Mrs. Bulah Curtis, Mrs. Belle Rogers.
