He married in 1908 at Graham, Texas to Nellie Seddon. He had lived in the Elbert area since 1908. He and had been engaged in ranching and farming. Mr. Timmons was a member of the Baptist Church. His parents were early day settlers in Young County.
Survived by his wife; one son - J.S. Timmons; two daughters - Mrs. Susie Wagnon and Mrs. Bernard Gilmore; three sisters - Mrs. Belle Rogers, Mrs. Arch Curtis, and Mrs. Hester Johnson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
