L.Z. "Zack" Timmons, 75, of Sweetwater, died in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Timmons taught school in Olney from 1911-1913. He left Olney, then returned in 1918 and taught until 1921.
Arminda Jane Horton married Lorenzo Zachery Timmons on 1 June 1904 at Jacksboro, Texas. She preceded him in death.
In 1921, Young County Judge L.Z. Timmons, democratic nominee for County Judge in the July primary resigned to become superintendent of the public schools at Throckmorton.
Survivors: one son - James S. Timmons, one daughter - Arminda Jane Yates, two brothers - Noble Timmons of Elbert, Walter Timmons of Elbert, five sisters - Alice Aynesworth, Bell Rogers, Leona McClusky of South Bend, Hester Johnson, Beulah Curtis
