COLUMBIA -- Services for Sherman Fisher will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Riser & Son with the Revs. Minns Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.

Fisher, 79, of Columbia died Thursday in his residence.

He was a native of Caldwell Parish and resided in Shreveport for more than 40 years. He was a retired superintendent with Joslyn Manufacturing Co. in Shreveport. He attended Morningside United Methodist Church and was a member of El Karubah Shrine Temple in Shreveport. He was also a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge No. 164 and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Thomas Fisher of Columbia; two sons, Joseph Fisher of Shreveport and Larry Fisher of Baytown, Texas; one sister, Alda Fisher Chapman of Columbia; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Childress, J. M. Duplissey, Quinton May, Clifford Murphy, Cleston Fisher and Toby Long.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
