Funeral services for Mrs. Nobie Fisher Smith, age 84 of Hebert were held Sunday, January 4th, 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Riser & Son with the Rev. Don Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mrs. Smith died January 1st at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, after a long illness.

Mrs. Smith was the widow of Webb W. Smith, a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and a member of Columbia Chapter No. 147 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one brother, Sherman Fisher, Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Rester, Columbia, Mrs. Alda Chapman, Columbia, and Mrs. Thelma Volentine of Columbia.

Pallbearers were Billy Joe Poole, Alan Maxwell, Benny Washam, Wiley Kelly, Russell Girod, and Ben Meredith.

Visitation was on Saturday, January 3rd from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Visitation on Sunday was until time of service.
