On May 22, 1858, Cornelius and Sarah (Hill) Vanover deeded one acre of land on the south-side of the Pound River to the Trustees of the Primitive Baptist Church. Cornelius was a deacon in this church. Both are buried in the family cemetery on the family farm. They migrated from North Carolina to Dickenson County, Virginia, about 1845 and lived near the mouth of Georges Fork Creek of the Pound River.

10. WESLEY, b. 1837 (m. Martha Fleming)
11. Lucy, b. 1838 (m. George Washington "Wash" Phipps)
