Frances Lucille Register, 80, born December 19, 1921 in Jacksonville, FL died June 20, 2002 in Jacksonville, Florida. Wife of George B. Register for 32 years. She was the widow of Roger E. Ferrell, Sr. to whom she was married 27 years. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Julia Elender (Smith) Ratlieff. Mrs. Register was an active member of Riverside Baptist Church where she formally played the piano and taught her Sunday School class. She was an excellent pianist and taught private piano lessons to hundreds of students over the past sixty years. She was a member of the Friday Musicale and the Altrusa Club. Her son, Dr. Roger Ernest Ferrell, Jr., preceded his mother in death in September, 2000. She is survived by her husband, George Register; sister, Mrs. Ethel Deen; daughters, Patricia Gayle Ferrell Pate (Edward), Julia Jeannette Ferrell Maraffi (Fritz) of Mountainside, New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Deon FerrellFox (Harry), stepchildren, Michael Register (Lucinda), Debra Paxon, Resa Register, and Tresa R. Royal; grandchildren, Edward Pate, Jr. (Emily), Lynne Pate Nagarja (Sanjay), Lance Pate, Elizabeth Pate Murphy, Christopher Ferrell (Molly), Roger Ferrell (Caroline), Justin Ferrell (Jessica), Michelle Maraffi Davis (Chris), Julia Ferrell and Jeffrey Ferrell; great grandchildren, Jackson Ferrell, Patrick Ferrell, Mary Walden Ferrell, Bennett Ferrell, Samuel Ferrell, Emily Ferrell, and Christopher Murphy; niece, Julia Kolvisto (Sam), sisterinlaw, Louise Castleberry, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
