Mrs. Julia Elender Ratlieff, 76, of 673 E. 17th St. died Wednesday evening at her residence. Mrs. Ratlieff was born in Pierce County, Ga., and had lived in Jacksonville 40 years. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and the Pyracantha Garden Club. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Etta Barnes, Mrs. Roger E. Ferrell, Mrs. Charlie L. Frazier, all of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Ben Aycock of Alma, Ga., three sons, Thomas L. Ratlieff, William A. Ratlieff and R.J. Ratlieff, all of Jacksonville; her stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith of Adel, Ga., six brothers, David Smith, Albert Smith, and Styles Smith, all of Jacksonville, Aaron Smith of Tallahassee, John F. Smith Jr. and Gordon Smith of Lakeland, three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Graham of Jacksonville, Mrs. Jack Byrd and Mrs. Charlie O'Quinn, both of Adel, her sister in law Mrs. Myra Smith of Jacksonville; 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held a 2 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Kyle-McLethan Funeral Directors, 17 Union St. with Rev. R. Wilbur Herring, pastor of the North Jacksonville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews of Mrs. Ratlieff and Rev. Henry Tison, M.A. Taylor and Dr. F.H. Schnauss, active will be Samuel Kolvista, Millard F. Smith Jr., William A. Smith, Earl Graham, Robert Bowling and Norman McRae.
