Miss Frieda Gaskamp Takes Her Own Life
The body of Miss Frieda Gaskamp, 47, was found hanged in the barn of her parents' home near Long Point around six o'clock Sunday morning. Justice of the Peace Otto Kelm, who was called shortly after 6:30 a.m., returned a verdict of suicide. He estimated the time of death at three o'clock in the morning. Miss Gaskamp made her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Gaskamp. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the Leon Simank funeral home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Richard J. Weber officiating, and continued at the Zionsville Lutheran church, with burial in the church cemetery. Miss Gaskamp was born in Long Point July 9, 1904, and was baptized November 7, 1904. She was confirmed in the Zionsville Lutheran church April 13, 1919. She was a member of the Zionsville Lutheran church. Survivors are her parents; six sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Emil Glaesmann of Gay Hill, Ed Gaskamp of Independence, Rudolph Gaskamp of Waco, Mrs. Otto Blum of Burton, Mrs. Albert Klander of Riesel, Mrs. Otto Glenz of Artesian Park, Mrs. Alvin Bredthauer of Sagerton, Herbert Gaskamp of Zionsville, and Mrs. Gilbert Kelm of Burton. One sister and one brother preceded her in death. Pallbearers will be George Gaskamp, Ervin Hugo, Raymond Bentke, Herbert Kelm, Orville Glaesman, and Floyd Gaskamp.
