Minnie Kohring Gaskamp, 100, of 804 East Academy, wife of George Gaskamp, died in a Brenham rest home Wednesday at 12:40 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Witschorske and Rev. R. J. Weber officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Brenham Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of usual remembrances, a memorial may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund. Survivors include her husband, George Gaskamp of Brenham; one son, Herbert Gaskamp of Zionsville; five daughters, Mrs. Emil (Meta) Glaesmann of Brenham, Mrs. Otto (Lydia) Blum of Burton, Mrs. Alvin (Selma) Klander of Riesel, Mrs. Otto (Laura) Glenz of Artesian Park, and Mrs. Gilbert ( Adeline) Kelm of Waco; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, two daughters, four brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one grandson preceded her in death. Born in Germany, Nov. 19, 1877, the daughter of the late Frederick and Sophia Lampe Kohring, she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany. She was married to George Gaskamp Dec. 5, 1901, at Zionsville. Mrs. Gaskamp was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
