Funeral services for Mrs. C. T. Thornton, 69, of Jacksonville and formerly of Lufkin, was held Sunday at Oakland Baptist Church near Rusk. The Rev. O. P. Meadows officiated and burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Thornton, who died Thursday following a long illness, was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include her husband, C. T. Thornton; daughters, Mrs. Johnny (Jewel) Halbert and Mrs. M. S. Collins; step-sons, Lester Thornton and Floyd Thornton; sisters, Mrs. A. J. Middleton, Mrs. L. D. Parise, Mrs. S. R. Fields and Mrs. A. M. Lusk; brothers, F. R. Perry, C. F. Perry and M. K. Perry.
