Mrs. Mary Alice Perry, born August 6, 1860 in Cherokee Co. Texas passed away at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Parise of Rt. 4, Lufkin, Texas at 12:48 p.m. Thursday after a long illness.
She had been a resident of Angelina Co. for the past five years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by
Sons: Charles Perry of Houston, M. K. Perry of Lufkin, R. F. Perry of Houston
Daughters: Mrs. S.R. Fields of Floydada, Mrs. C. T. Thornton of Lufkin, Mrs. L. D. Parise of Lufkin, Mrs. A. J. Middleton of Lufkin and Mrs. Albert Lusk of Rusk.
Brother: _H. Odom of Jacksonville
35 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren
The funeral services will be held from the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning with Rev. Stokes officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, located 3 miles from Maydelle, Texas at 11 a.m. with Rev. O. P. Meadows officiating.
