LOCAL NEWS OF THE WEEK
John Peter Wisemann, died at his home near Burdick last Saturday night, of dropsy. He was 53 years old and leaves a family. The funeral was held Monday, the services being conducted at St. Patrick's church, of this place. Mr. Wisemann had many friends in this part of the county, who sincerely mourn his loss.

Burdick.
Mr. Peter Wiesemann died at his home near Burdick Saturday Aug. 3rd after an illness which lasted for more than 10 years. For the last few weeks he had been very bad and his condiction was known to be critical. His affliction was dropsy of the heart. Mr. Wiesemann was born in Germany Nov. 11th 1852. He came to this country with his parents when a small child. Twenty six years ago he married Lizzie Rosenburg and to this union five children were born one of which is dead, the remaining are Mrs. Fred Boyles of Elkhart, Ollie, Ella, and Henry who reside at home. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were Mrs. John Wiseman, Mrs. Ed. Kelley, Mrs. Emil Heinz and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kosmathee, and Mrs. Mary Zebert of Chicago, John Wiseman and wife and Frank Wiseman, John Rosenburg, Will Rosenburg and wife of Michigan City.
